Mahindra has launched the XUV 3XO EV in India at a starting price of INR 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Offered in AX5 and AX7L variants, the new electric SUV replaces the XUV400 and enters the sub-four-metre EV segment.
The launch follows the recent debut of the XUV 7XO, highlighting Mahindra’s aggressive push in the SUV and electric vehicle space.
Powering the XUV 3XO EV is a 39.4 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 110 kW and 310 Nm of torque. Mahindra claims a 0–100 km/h sprint time of 8.3 seconds, making it the quickest EV in its segment.

Three drive modes—Fun, Fast, and Fearless—are on offer, along with advanced suspension technologies such as Frequency Dependent Damping and MTV-VAL. The claimed real-world driving range stands at up to 285 km on a single charge.
In terms of design, the XUV 3XO EV remains largely identical to its ICE counterpart. It features a closed-off body-coloured grille, stacked LED headlamps, C-shaped LED DRLs, and copper-accented Mahindra logos.
The EV retains its flat bonnet, muscular wheel arches, and compact proportions, riding on 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the rear, connected LED tail lamps and a layered bumper with a faux skid plate complete the look.

The cabin is well-equipped and technology-focused, headlined by dual 10.25-inch displays for infotainment and the digital instrument cluster. Key features include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and a cooled glove box.
The infotainment system is paired with a 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio setup with Dolby Atmos, while Adrenox connected car technology adds over 80 features, including Alexa integration and remote vehicle functions.

Safety equipment is comprehensive, with six airbags, electronic stability control, disc brakes on all four wheels, TPMS, and a rear-view camera offered as standard.
The top-spec AX7L variant adds Level 2 ADAS, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, front parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.
Being a sub-four-metre SUV, the XUV 3XO EV is smaller than the outgoing XUV400 and offers less boot space, though its compact size improves urban usability. With competitive pricing, strong performance, and a long feature list, the XUV 3XO EV strengthens Mahindra’s position in India’s fast-growing electric SUV market.
